The Wheatsheaf is a smart community pub with great fresh food, where eaters and drinkers alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. We opened the Wheatsheaf in 2015 after a very lengthy top to bottom refurbishment! We enhanced the heritage of this lovely 200 year-old pub, as well as extending it to create a light and spacious dining area. We’ve worked hard ever since to keep our pub looking and feeling fresh. We regularly add new dishes to our menus as well as daily specials, our drinks line up always has something new and interesting to try and we take great pride in our interiors, so that our guests can relax in beautiful surroundings.Book a Table

We think pubs are really for adults. However well-behaved younger children are very welcome seated at a table in the bar up to 7pm and in the restaurant until 7.30pm. We do have high chairs available, a kids menu and baby change facility.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the pub area and on the terrace (not in the restaurant).
Sandown Racecourse is just around the corner. We are perfect for your pre-race or conference lunch. Sandown Conference centre and dry ski slope are also just round the corner as are the stunning Claremont Landscape Gardens run by the National Trust.
Also in the middle Sandown race track is Surreys premier Karting venue
have designed a fantastic 5 mile circular route from our car park, perfect for a decent walk followed by a great pub lunch! – click here for more information!
